About Us
Welcome to Ashlea
This Grand Victorian house was designed by James MacLaren and built around 1873 for a very wealthy local businessman, James Fairweather Low, who produced engineering machinery for the jute barons.
Ashlea Manor & Cottage are non-smoking self-catering accommodations comprising several en suite rooms with access to cooking and lounge facilities. It also has spacious off street car park with night lighting and, extensive garden grounds
Ashlea Manor & Cottage overlook the Firth of Tay providing extensive views to the Kingdom of Fife and beyond.
The properties are ideally placed for keen golfers as we in close proximity to two famous links courses – Monifieth Golf Club and Carnoustie Golf Links (Three miles away along the coast). There is also Panmure, Downfield and St Andrews Old course which is only 20 minutes drive away .
